Last Friday I was thrilled to participate in a bridal brunch for my friend Katina's niece, Miss Brittani. The morning was sunny, the setting was dreamy, the food was scrumptious, and all the girls were divas in their sundresses and hats! Congratulations, Brittani! I have had a camera in my hand most of my life! In my senior year of Columbia College, I took a photography elective and wondered why I had bothered with the Math degree! I was in love! When our daughter was born and I began to stay at home, I had a lot of time to shoot and had access to a perfect subject! Mike encouraged me to start my business... "honey, can you figure out a way to fund this habit? You know you have to start charging your friends!" Well seven years later I still have a hard time doing that! But I have at least learned to fund my habit! As the "stay at home" chapter is closing with my children entering school full time, I am eager to pursue my business with more energy. I thought of doing something else...but I can't imagine what! At one wedding, Mike said to me "you're in your element!" Isn't that where we all long to work? I am so grateful I get to! Praise be to a loving God, who has given me permission to move forward! After all, He created me with this gift and put this passion in my heart!
