Extended families gathering for the holidays is a wonderful occasion for photos sessions, so when Amy and Steven and Baby Carter arrived in town, I gladly photographed the McCauley family all together! Amy, Will, Mac, and Mills had already had their family session this Fall, but the boys were willing participants again. Mrs McCauley wanted a Christmas card photo of all of the grandboys under her tree! So we gathered for a variety of settings. Everyone survived the cold, and we got some fun shots...here are a few

There are very few occasions that get me out of bed before the crack of dawn, but my family and I decided to participate in observing a Fox Hunt and our friend Senter's Georgia farm this morning with a few friends, so I was on the road before sunrise!
The persistant rain didn't dampen the spirit of this group of dedicated riders, so I didn't allow it to rob me of photo opps either! From a truck and under my umbrella, I was thrilled to be shooting such an amazing event. It's with great delight that I post these photos, which I think were enhanced by the rain, actually! I try to make it a practice to stop shooting in December so I can fill orders for Christmas, spend time with my family (that hasn't seen me most of November), and finally shop for Christmas... and celebrate birthdays! I know I've posted a birthday celebration for Walker earlier, but we celebrated his 8th birthday again today!(we tend to have L-O-N-G birthdays in our family!)
Walker and Crawford are life-long buds, so Pam and I decided to give them a joint party this year in between their special days. With no girls allowed (except for the sisters), the boys enjoyed skating with their classmates and singing "Happy Birthday to ME" together...Here they are-true friends, nothing including a college football rivalry can come between them...Happy Birthday guys! The past few days have been a continuous celebration of my journey "over the hill!" I feel most loved by everyone and am very grateful for my overall good health, my wonderful family, and fabulous friends, and the gift of having a business within my life passion! Thank you to all who have helped me celebrate this monumental birthday! You have taken the "pain" out of it for me!

I am grateful beyond words for my blessings.

Happy Christmas and Merry Birthday!

My little buddy, Walker, and I celebrate birthdays this week in the middle of the craziest season of the year! Yesterday he turned 9 and this weekend I will again enter a new decade, but I really think I just did that recently! Where did the 30's go?!? Last night we celebrated by hitting our favorite lights in town-Roper Mountain! If you haven't gone, take the kids! Don't forget to do the walking part. Here's Walker and Santa-Walker was "freaked out" (his words) that Santa knew his name and that it was his birthday...and big sis Elizabeth decided she wasn't getting in the sleigh with Santa, but I'm happy she wasn't too old to pose in the one they had set up outside for photos!

Joseph and Chelsea are engaged to be married on May 22, 2009!
I've known Chelsea since she was very young and she has always been the kind of girl you want your daughter to grow up to be!
Chelsea, I hope you and Joseph "Dion" have many many happy years together on this wild adventure called "marriage" There is no other relationship more rewarding, challenging, and sacred as you walk in it with the Lord! I'm so excited for both of you!

My family and I spent the afternoon at the cool showroom of Play with Cars for their Holiday Open House.
When our good friend Danny decided to go into the car business this year, we cheered him on-anyone who's owned more cars than my husband is a born car dealer! These aren't just any used cars, so take a look at their site-you may want a red bow on one in your driveway this Christmas!
Because I was there, so was my camera and I decided to post the event-for promotion for their business and as a reminder that I SHOOT EVENTS! So for your next party, anniversary celebration, etc...remember, hiring a pro is a great way to enjoy your celebration without worrying that you capture everything...leave that to me!
