I'm back from the Big Apple! Images from my trip are on the way, but I promised my little sis I'd get these posted first! Here's the addition to the post below. To see the show, MUTE music on home page and return to click on Sami and Emma!

It's no secret that I have the cutest nieces and nephews! This is Emma-see?! Isn't she a doll?!
When they come to Aunt Kim's it's always with hopes that I won't get my camera out and chase them, but her luck ran out Saturday-we needed some 3 year old pics of her! I have many more-and some of her big sis, Sami, too, that I'll post when I get back from New York! I just wanted to keep you entertained while I'm gone-so here are some of my favorites!

Fall Sittings Booking Now!

Some of you know that I've been officially "off" this August with the exception of Amy Jo's party-she was serving sweet potato cake from Brick Street cafe-I couldn't pass that up!
I am completing my month with a fun trip to New York City, where I plan to be the biggest tourist of all with my camera in tow-I cannot wait!
When I return, I'll post images of the trip then dive head first into a busy Fall of preschools, sports teams, a few weddings, and the infamous "Christmas Card Season!" If you or someone you know is interested in booking a Fall sitting, don't delay! I'm already half booked-I hope to hear from you soon!
Happy August-it's almost gone!
On May 5, 2008, Amy Jo and Shawn exchanged vows on the beach of Compass Point in the beautiful Bahamas. Although I would have been thrilled to cover their actual wedding, I was excited to join them as they celebrated their marriage with family and friends a few weeks ago at their lovely home. The gathering was intimate, the food was delicious, the children were precious, and the evening was just perfect. The sweet potato cake that is my favorite was quite a bonus, too!
Amy & Shawn, I hope what began in "Paradise" will continue to be a blessing to you, to Nolah, and to those you share life with as journey together as man and wife. Here are a few of my favorite shots of the night...

Her name is "Kadence", but it could be "Personality!" I met this little one not long ago at the hospital for her newborn photo sitting and when I saw her again last week for her 9 month old sitting, she remembered me! We're old pals now-the only thing we differ on is our allegiance to that Tiger dress she was wearing! But I think if you'll check out the second image below you can see what she might think of those paws after all (:
I could wallpaper my house with favorite shots of those sweet cheeks and lively eyes, but I picked a small handfull...
Miss Kadence, you're a doll! I'm so glad to have met your family and hope to do lots more photos of you as you grow...keep 'em hopin'!
This is a future cheerleader-
See-what did I tell ya?!

OK, she did think her tiger was cute and fun to eat on!

Look at her beautiful blue eyes!

Kadence is on the move!
What a ham!

This is the Bradberry family...needing some updated family photos as well as sweet shots of Alekai, we braved the heat at Furman one afternoon last week. Alekai made it an adventure that we all enjoyed while-I loved watching him interact with his parents!
It was a pleasure meeting the 3 of you! I hope you enjoy your images...

Happy Birthday, Rachael!

Rachael is a cupcake...so we thought it was fitting to celebrate her birthday this year at the cool new cupcake place named ICED! It was the yummiest party I've ever been to!
The kids got a quick lesson in mixing and icing then were turned loose to create their own masterpieces...one to eat, one to take home. Here are a few shots from the festivites...

When Amy and John and I met at Furman last week for their engagement sitting, we all were super excited that their wedding is in January-much cooler temps expected then! We covered almost every inch of campus, made a little play on words with Furman's "Engage" campaign, and even stopped for a quick change of clothing (I would've changed too if I'd brought an extra set!)
These two are made for each other, not because of their beautiful matching dimples, but they seem to perfectly compliment each other in personality! Amy's on top of things, very planned, and knows exactly what she wants-which I admire in a person! And John seems to be very easy going...Mike and I've enjoyed almost 15 happy years together with this combination so I hope it works well for you two also!
I am so honored you've chosen me to cover your wedding day and all of the festivities surrounding it! You two are super fun to be around and your love for each other was very evident in the first moments of meeting you!
Here are some of my favs from our afternoon together...

From Residing to Retirement

Last week the town of Greenwood gathered to pay tribute to one of their distinguished leaders as he puts down his gavel to join the ranks of the retired. There can be no doubt, with such an amazing turnout, that Justice James Moore has made a lasting impact on his community. Among the crowd were friends, children, grandkids, lawyers, clerks, interns, and other honored members of the Greenwood community, but the most cherished of all present seemed to be his lovely wife, Mary, as the judge kept drawing her to his side while he greeted the long line of guests. The beautiful Arts Center buzzed with sweet reunions with old friends, tails of former days, and roars of boisterous laughter. It was an honor to be among the crowd to capture this special celebration for this family. Here are a few of my favorite shots...

When the whole family gathered to celebrate Judge Moore's retirement, it was the perfect opportunity to snap a few photos of everyone before we headed to the big party. It was a sunny and hot afternoon and we were glad to get done fast and get back into the air condition for the rest of the celebration! Here is the whole clan and a few shots of the grands...
