When a baby enters our world, we get to experience a miracle in its purest form. I was a little overwhelmed as I walked past a Nativity to meet little Mary Ellis on a warm December morn...for not unlike THE Baby long ago, she had entered our world and brought joy to the ones who welcomed her. I was privileged to get to capture a few of her first moments here with proud Daddy, Barrett, and sweet Mommy, Cassie. Brody is the sixth child of the Runion family! He is such an easy going baby-I guess he has to be!
It was fun for me to photograph him on my birthday-allowing me the opportunity to do what I love before getting to grab a birthday lunch with friends! I hope we captured the diaper shot of Brody that matches the one of each of his siblings' at 6 months! I bet they didn't get to be a cowboy, though, and Brody sure is a charming one! Commercial shoots are always a fun and challenging-kind of like 2 year olds, but a little different. The shoot at Coal Fired Pizza was a fun change to my busy Fall of family sittings. I had a blast working with David, Robin, David the bartender, Carlos the master chef, and a few friendly staff, too! Coal Fired Pizza is OPEN for business-tested and found grand by the local Highway Patrol! They are located on the growing corner of Pelham and Hwy 14-serving lunch and dinner! It's a must see! Check them out and tell them Kim D. sent you! To get a preview of what's in store, "mute" music on home page and click here: Coal Fired Pizza!

These girls are two peas in a pod-identical peas! Cassie and Alex are super cute and very fun! Your photos make me smile as I remember how much fun you two had playing during the sitting! I still hear those sweet giggles ! Thanks for inviting me to your lovely home to take your Christmas photos!I know everyone will be blessed by your sweet smiles! I don't really have the words to say how much I love working with this little guy! Harrison has the BEST smiles-and I've yet to do it justice in any photo I've ever taken of him, but one day...!
The first year of a baby's life has many milestones, but the most fun, I think, is the first Christmas! After today's sitting, Emily and Jason are taking all the toys back to the store and giving this baby boxes and tissue paper...and fringe! Happy First Christmas, Harrison! This show is one of my favorites! "Mute" music on home page, so you can hear the correct song with the show and click here: Harrison's First Christmas!

When Michelle called to say I took her nieces' photos in Columbia and she wanted me to take photos of her 12 year old, Hannah, I was honored. While we were at the park, we figured out that we were CC girls together-one year apart. I laughed when she said, "I knew a Kim Adair" and I stopped her short to say "that's me!" before she could elaborate on anything she might have remembered me by!
Well Miss Hannah, you were super sweet to work with and very kind to share the spotlight with not only Will and Laura, but Mom and Grandma as well! I hope you guys like the photos of everyone! To see your show, "mute" music on home page and click here:

Gail does all she can to make me look good so I my goal was to return the favor as we met at the park! It was a cold dreary Sunday afternoon, but she looked bright and beautiful-Dan and Ethan, you guys looked good, too! I hope my favorite Mary Kay glamour gal enjoys her show! Thanksgiving Gatherings!

Thanksgiving is a favorite weekend of mine! And I can always count on calls for sittings this weekend, from people wanting to take advantage of extended family gathered to celebrate and eat!

While others were fighting the crowds, bargain hunting, I enjoyed my peaceful drive to Lake Keowee to photograph the Schramm family for Tim and Carla. I really enjoyed meeting everyone! You Schramm sisters seem to be a fun bunch-and I can see your dad survived with a good sense on humor!

Another family of all girls, the Thompsons, met me on the dark, cold Sunday after Thanksgiving. While other Gamecocks were still licking their wounds, this family and I bravely faced the world again and met at the park-one last activity before the girls went to their separate homes. Silly cousins, dads who were being good sports, a sweet set of grandparents, and 2 sisters who like to laugh...the whole clan were fun to be with...here is their show! If ever a name fit, this set of grands are truly Champions! From the first time I met her Amie has made me laugh-and her kids crack me up! I think they will make you laugh and smile and say "too cute!" So here they are-Amie, Frank, Champ, Gracie, and Tate...and the grandparents who were troupers at the park! When we began this afternoon, we had only one goal-capture Emily, Aaron, and Matti to replace the engagement portrait of Emily, Aaron, and the dog! Well, Matti you are not only replacing the dog in the photo, but have truly stolen the show at our sitting as well! So, this is Matti's show-and her parents happen to be in it...that's the life we realize as we have children, isn't it! BTW-I do love having sweet baby cousins-especially since my "baby" turns seven this week! To see this sweet, sweet baby's show, "mute" the music on home page and click here: Matti's Show

OK, you know I love all of your boys, Dana-but that 3rd-oooo, smooch, smooch, Carson! I always love photographing you guys! (Next time I will have my kids meet us at dinner, though!) I hope you enjoy this show and all of your images! "Mute" music on home page and return to click here: Newell's Show

On this particular Thursday afternoon, I was feeling the anxiety, a result of the season's load, building. I asked a few friends to pray for me as I headed to the sitting for the Runion family of 8! As I drove up the windy drive of the "Lazy R" to park at the top of a hill outside the Runion home place, the cares seemed to roll off my back and an overwhelming calm replaced them. What an amazing place. And what amazing, well-behaved, cooperative SIX children you have, Crystal and Travis! It was a pleasure to be able to photograph all of you! I have enjoyed photographing families at their home this Fall! Especially when the locations are dream settings-like the Watson's front and back yard! You guys were fun to hang out with! Your yard is divine-love the poker shack-and the Fall color was at a peak! To see your show, "mute" music on home page and return here: Watson Show
